CHASSIS DROIDWORKS AD-8

Our AD-8 is a standard + medium heavy lift octo frame that allows for 10” to 13” propellers. The standard Droidworx 40mm engine mounts accommodate the larger 2814/20 series Axi and Pulso motors and the MK3538 engine - as well as the smaller 2217/20 series Axi and Pulso motors and Robbe Roxy 2827 series engines. The motors are attached to the engine mounts via the standard 16-19mm and 19-19mm firewall mount spacing.

The frame is available in three boom lengths:
355mm booms (700mm span*) to fit 10” propellers
410mm booms (830mm span*) to fit 12” propellers
465mm booms (940mm span*) to fit 13” propellers

* Span width is measured from engine center to engine center.

Super heavy lift engines like the 2820/14 series Axi or Pulso motors can be fitted on this craft – however this setup requires the larger 50mm engine mounts available in accessories section of this shop.

The frame comes complete, ready for assembly – recommended set-ups are available on the homepage of this site in the section ‘set-up’, including information about various engine/propeller combinations.

All Droidworx frames are made from high quality, lightweight and vibration absorbing aerospace composite materials for optimum performance and are ready to accept the MikroKopter UAV electronics set.

Impact resistant dome - vibration absorbing components - UV resistant materials - non toxic and chemically inert composites.

Heavy lift + Extended - Gros porteur Surélevé

Our AD-8 is a standard + medium heavy lift octo frame that allows for 10” to 13” propellers. The standard landing gear on this frame is replaced with the extended landing gear, increasing the standard clearance of 16 cm from gear rail to ground level to 36 cm to allow fitting the Droidworx/PhotoHigher Pro Camera Gimbal.
